Is it possible to have a hundredth monkey episode with evil acts?  If enough people do an evil act or live in an evil way, will all people understand the evil and do it themselves?

I can imagine evil as rolling a bolder down a mountain. If you don't want it just roll it away. But the bolder makes damage on it's way down.  Uncontrolled it smashes the landscape. If conditions are right it can cause an avalanche.

What is so wrong with an avalanche?  Maybe things need a fresh start once in a while. Too bad we do not realize that we have power and we can choose not to be the end of ourself.
