Factor the debt growth into the budget. If money transferred to debt does not reduce the debt it should not be counted as free money. It is used for things other than debt. Those things cost money. Factor that into the budget.
Careful with the house and car buying. The two biggest expenses. Must be enough money to realistically live a similar life.
