The idea that evolution is primarily driven by survival of the fittest is fundamentally incorrect.  Nature favors systems that work in harmony to benefit all participants.

The idea that one species is going to destroy another and thus gain more resources is a joke.  Nature is all about symbiosis.

It's interesting that our culture has chosen to believe in survival of the fittest so completely without evidence of one species evolving into another. What does it say about ourselves when we perpetuate the myth that we need to destroy in order to survive.
